or perhaps credit cards?

Right? And I actually do better spending wise when I stick with cash. I just don't usually because of the convenience. But I can and happily will if I have to.
Will they still charge if you use it as a credit card instead of debit w/ pin, I wonder?
So, if I only use it to take out cash from their ATMs, I'm golden? But one swipe in a store and $5 is levied against me? Wow. That feels like a step backwards.
Citigroup says they won't do it. Any reason not to switch to Citibank when the time comes?
The sun was only taunting us. Now it's raining heavily again. Poor hippies.
That's what it sounds like - no charge for ATMs.
From the article:
The head of banking products for Citi's U.S. consumer bank said customers told the bank a debit card fee would be "a huge source of irritation."
I'll say. I only use my card to take money out of the ATM and yet I still find it galling. It's like banks never tire of saying fuck you to the rest of us.

duck-nod.
Still waiting for a callback from my bank, for folks keeping track. I've left two messages today. Next step is letter to the president, I guess.
We're in the process of switching to a credit union! Which happens to have an office in the lobby of the building mr. flea works in.
I have to call Chase Visa and bitch them out about charging me a late fee when the man I talked to when I called to pay the bill (because mr. flea forgot) specifically said it would be credited in time. I hate fucking banks.
Sox,
you might try the district manager first. And leave the president for last. I would try the Customer Relations VP before the President. Usually, the Customer Relations VP would trip over themselves to prevent this issue from going to the President. If it reaches the President, you might as well CC the attorney general and perhaps your local Congressperson.
