I'm so sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time-Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window, so if you want to trade... no wait, I wouldn't give up that memory for anything.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Okay, I may just be crabby today, but I get annoyed when a co-worker sends me a file and the e-mail says "I NEED you to change the month on this," etc. etc.

How hard is it to SAY PLEASE???

I'm tempted to e-mail back "What's the magic word, Champ?"

The e-mail concluded with "It has to go to the printer TODAY so I need it SOON."

Well, maybe you could have given it to me sooner in the day than 3:05 pm, Champ.

t edit Teppy is NOT YOUR BITCH.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I was at World Market over the weekend and they had water flavored with herbs - I got some ginger and lemon, which I bet would be good for anyone with a touchy digestion.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I highly recommend TJ's Uncrystallized Candied Ginger, which helped me be able to eat other things when I had vertigo nausea.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

As anyone who has seen my handy chemo guide, I'm a great believer in ginger for nausea. I simmered sliced ginger in water for about 10 minutes, added honey and sipped on it all day.

If you were planning an event with David Eagleman, most recently the author of Incognito, how many people do you think it would draw? I ask because the 225-person room at the book festival wasn't big enough.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

DUDE! It's Kristen. That's family. There is no humiliation. Unconditional LOVE!

Exactly. It would be like me melting down in front of Cass or Plei.

Plus, melting down at that is no crime. I would have completely lost it, too.

call me jacki; zuisa is an internet nick from ancient times =)

I really need to stop watching television. Or, at the very least, I need to start watching things that are happy.

I just plowed through an entire series in like 3 days (it was 8 episode seasons, 20 minute episodes, so not quite so horrifying as that may sound) and now here I am again with the tears and the heartbreak.

To contribute to already happening conversations, I don't wear too much makeup, but I have this amazing tinted moisturizer plus sunblock that is an absolute essential. Anything above that depends on my mood and where I'm going.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Ouch, just went to the new target.com and my retinas are permanently scarred. SO MUCH RED.

Ellicott City got hit with a flash flood: [link] & [link]

It's built over the Tiber where it flows into the Patapsco.
