So, my former officemate didn't come in today because she got a call at 7 AM that a beloved uncle had died. I took care of all the work up here and then went down to check her voicemail, distribute the paper mail, and make sure there weren't any stray undone things lying around not being done. While I was there, I got an itch in my sinuses and blew my nose. "Well," said Rage Nurse, "I tell you one thing, I sure don't miss
that."
(She has previously accused me of sneezing too loudly, coughing too loudly, typing too loudly, filing paperwork too loudly, swallowing too loudly, and opening and closing drawers too loudly.)
Ah, Rage Nurse, you truly never fail to disappoint. Truly, you are a wonder of absolute consistency.

Wow, JZ, what a total fucko.
Timelies all!
Ended up with a couple of inches of snow, not enough to shut down work. (Some schools cancelled or had delayed openings)
JZ, did you say, "I sure don't miss YOU!"????
It really doesn't look like we got much snow here. Maybe 6-8 inches? But I guess there's more to the west, and I should be grateful that most of my colleagues drive to work.
We are in the midst of the first Snowmaggedon of 2011. I got sent home a whole 45 minutes early. It's snowing and blowing, and the power has flickered a few times, but we've only had 4-5 inches so far. I am home and cozy, so it can storm.
Sadly, Jesse,
l'esprit d'escalier
came to me on, well, the stairs rather later.
Shit I didn't say: "Yeah, you don't miss me exhibiting evidence of my actual physical existence anywhere in your vicinity, and I don't miss you relentlessly making me feel like a piece of criminally stupid dog shit that would be doing the universe a favor if it jumed off a bridge sometime in the next five minutes. Really, it's a win-win all around!"
Our power was out most of the day, which was both incredibly cold and incredibly boring. But, snow day again tomorrow! We had 17 inches of snow total.
JZ also didn't say "dear rage nurse, I'm here covering your ass; I'll thank you not to talk out of it whilst I'm doing so."
Eta: ok don't think about that too hard.
