Wash: Psychic, though? That sounds like something out of science fiction. Zoe: We live in a space ship, dear. Wash: So?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

JZ, did you say, "I sure don't miss YOU!"????

It really doesn't look like we got much snow here. Maybe 6-8 inches? But I guess there's more to the west, and I should be grateful that most of my colleagues drive to work.

hip deep in pie

We are in the midst of the first Snowmaggedon of 2011. I got sent home a whole 45 minutes early. It's snowing and blowing, and the power has flickered a few times, but we've only had 4-5 inches so far. I am home and cozy, so it can storm.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Sadly, Jesse, l'esprit d'escalier came to me on, well, the stairs rather later.

Shit I didn't say: "Yeah, you don't miss me exhibiting evidence of my actual physical existence anywhere in your vicinity, and I don't miss you relentlessly making me feel like a piece of criminally stupid dog shit that would be doing the universe a favor if it jumed off a bridge sometime in the next five minutes. Really, it's a win-win all around!"

call me jacki; zuisa is an internet nick from ancient times =)

Our power was out most of the day, which was both incredibly cold and incredibly boring. But, snow day again tomorrow! We had 17 inches of snow total.

not your mom's socks.

JZ also didn't say "dear rage nurse, I'm here covering your ass; I'll thank you not to talk out of it whilst I'm doing so."

Eta: ok don't think about that too hard.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

JZ also didn't drop the used Kleenex in front of her.

Surely history teaches us that morality and religion have no relation to each other.

I had my tongue firmly in my cheek there, but I too resent the idea that there is no morality without religion. Throughout history, gods have come and gone, while people continued to do the right thing because it was the right thing.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Aw, jz, what a horrible person she is. And to be unkind to YOU--one of the best peeps ever--she must be insane as well.

Maybe her bitterness at not being as awesome as JZ has driven her mad.

Ah, yes. Seeing JZ every day but knowing that, no matter what you did, you could never hold a candle to JZ could lead to madness.
