I can do spelt - the trick seems to be the amount of salt and sugar that goes in. It's better mixed with another flour. Although apparently not buckwheat, as the brick on my kitchen counter testifies.
mmmm ass on rye.
I would mix in spelt for half the white flour in recipes with fairly good success. The weirdness I found was that things would go bad much faster. Muffins would get soggy and sour on the inside.
Snow day! Which they didn't announce until I went to bed, but for some reason I woke up at 5:30, so I checked then, and went back to bed until 8:45! Sweet!! It doesn't look like there is that much snow on the ground yet, but it is coming down hard. And almost horizontally.
Downton Abbey is already out on dvd and bluray.
YAY Snow Day!
Boston took all our snow last night!
Which is actually fine because the 6 inches we got is enough to make everything pretty again but not enough to close schools.
Not!Snow day.
Although it took me 2 hours to get here.
Michael went to work but got there and nobody was there so he came home. (You would think an office of scientists and engineers could come up with a notification plan for severe weather, but noooooo.) He says the roads are terrible. I am wondering if we're going to be homebound all week at this point.

oh, I would not think that. I would think their assistants need to manage things like that.
