Worst I got today was a splinter and a pulled muscle in my shoulder. And I even used power tools! (Well, an electric screwdriver powered by AA batteries. Finishing up an armoire that's taken several weeks to put together because I couldn't get the last few screws in with a manual screwdriver.)

You know who's sitting there between Zimbabwe and Swaziland, with a 96% increase in maternal mortality since 1990? The good ol' US of A.
It's much easier to have a high percentage increase when starting from a low initial number. The US had an increase during that time period from around 10 maternal deaths per 100,000 births to around 19, both of which are still extremely low numbers.
For comparison, Zimbabwe in 2005 had a maternal mortality ratio of 880.
