StW did reply, and basically just said "Thanks for being so understanding." I was hoping for a slightly more in depth answer, but at least it wasn't an outright rejection. But now I have a quandry - while tubing the other weekend, we met a couple we liked and I got the girl's phone number so we could all hang out. She texted me today to see if we wanted to go get drinks this week or next, and now I don't know what to do. I've told StW it's up to him to call me when he wants to see me, but I don't really want to tell this girl what's going on... anyone got a nice, delicate turn of phrase for me?

fuck it. go out for drinks and just chill. don't say anything about him unless you have cause to. don't bother if you don't end up really liking her. If you end up really liking her, I guess then you'll have a quandary.

No, I mean, she has a boyfriend and so the idea was that the four of us would go hang out. Not in a swingers kind of way, in a double date kind of way.
