All right, yes, date and shop and hang out and go to school and save the world from unspeakable demons. You know, I wanna do girlie stuff!

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Day after V-day, things are a LOT cheaper. Easier to get a table. Flowers are half price or so. IJS.

Hil, way up thread I read you having issues with a table wanting to get upstairs. Not sure of your limitations, but here is what I do. If your stairs are carpeted, this works a LOT better. Oh, and mind you, when I lived in staired dwellings, my furniture wasn't so nice. Anyhow, rather than fight gravity, use it to your slight advantage. Stairs are an inclined plane with chunks missing. But your average furniture can straddle those chunks. So, flip the table legs up, and let the table top glide across the treads. I'd advise being beneath them. It's a bit easier to push up, then pull up. Less wrenching on the back. And easier to take a quick break. But also harder to navigate if there are turns in the stairs, or objects at the top of stairs that you have to maneuver around. If you don't have carpet, maybe duck tape a packing blanket (tape the blanket around to the bottom side, and tape the corners, so no gunk on your table. Doesn't have to be pretty, just functional for the 10 minutes.

Anyhow, that is how I got a couple dressers from the garage to my bedroom as a kid. Mom was rather surprised. Adapt and overcome! (and science is fun!). Probably looked crazy, as I was crawling up the steps, pushing the stuff ahead of me. But hey, I was home alone, so who cares what it looks like!

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Kara is 9 still. 10 in September. She's getting all As, except in Math, where she has a D. She's reading at 7th/8th grade level, but prefers younger books. She disturbs her teachers with her huge vocab and talk of death, dismemberment, and ghosts--they even called us in to have a talk about it and her slipping grades (I guess the As are wobbly). She hates doing things she's not interested in, and is drawing amazingly good anime-style art--better than anything I ever did as a kid.

Aidan, evil bunny, is in 2nd grade now, and will be 8 next Saturday. He's better than Kara at math, but reads less well. He constantly cuts out (freehand) rapid transit vehicles, that he then colors or outlines, and then drives them around the house, drawing new people inside at each stop. He's obsessed with bejeweled (I didn't even know there was a cognito level), and sometimes hurts himself when he's upset.

I can only sleep 2-3 hours a time. I went off Wellbutrin and my hair is growing back. I'm less depressed. A little up and down with it, but it's only been 3 weeks.

Things are cooking along, you know?

I'm feeling better. I think it's you guys' fault.

I've been vibing for all of you what needs it lately and still skim at least every few days.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Thanks for the advice, omnis. I'd considered something like that, but, though my stairs are carpeted, they've also got a turn, and it takes pretty much all my strength to push the table just across a flat carpeted floor.

I looked at the revised one first and was going to suggest that you add a comma and then saw it on the earlier version so I think it was punctuation that got just lost in change in formatting.

Great catch lcat, thank you so much!

I can't even express how grateful I am for keener eyes than mine. Day to day, I manage fine with dyslexia. With marketing stuff, it absolutely ties me in knots.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

bonny, I like the resized pic. I would set it flush to the left side, which would allow you to size the font back up on the second part of the text.

No, I'm not sure why I have such clear opinions on this matter. I hope they are helpful. Feel free to ignore them if not.

smonster, I adjusted the photo to the left.

So what do y'all think? Is the photo good enough at this size?

Also, now that the text is bigger, should the name at the bottom be indented to the ellipsis, or flush to the word 'Set?'

I can't tell if it looks balanced.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

My landlady/friend just came by with her adorable 2 yo bundle of chaos. She's finally going to fix my dryer today, hallelujah. She asked what the deal was with New Orleans and was like, "Do I just need to evict you so you don't have a place to live?" Awesome.

bonny, much better. As for the name at the bottom, maybe center it? I think the picture is fine.

Sweet?

Yeah, it's nice to get that tough love support.
