Mal: How come you didn't turn on me, Jayne? Jayne: Money wasn't good enough. Mal: What happens when it is? Jayne: Well... that'll be an interesting day.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Hey, thanks bonny and Deena! I'll C&P those ideas over to my friend.

P.S. Deena, feel better soon!

Compassionately intolerant

Andi, weirdly, my favorite of Hiaasen's YA work is not listed on his page.

It's called Scat and does have a strong female protagonist.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

How in the everloving hell is Kara nearly ten?

How in the everloving hell is Kara nearly ten?

Yes, it is unpossible. Next she'll be saying that pale little baby boy is in school or something.

And she shouldn't be sick!

I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.

Bonny

I'm thinking there should be a comma between the phrase "build character" and the phrase "to learn successful habits" in the copy for the kids section. The comma is there on the proof without the picture but then is missing on the proof with the picture. I looked at the revised one first and was going to suggest that you add a comma and then saw it on the earlier version so I think it was punctuation that got just lost in change in formatting.

Btw, teppy--I was watching an ep of big bang theory on the plane an realized you may or may not be Sheldon, but I totally know someone who is Howard...except a girl. She has hunched shoulders and the same haircut! She's Jewish and an engineer, just like him! Madness.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

argh. I just found out my housemate's gf is telling him he CANNOT play a show on the 14th because it is Valentine's day. And to think I got mad at my other housemate for referring to the gf as "Yoko". I so hope musician guy sticks up for himself. You can celebrate your love any day. Gigs are hard to come by.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Well, I don't like going to my DH's gigs on holidays. and since he doesn't earn his living from it, I figure it is fair. I get zero attention when he is on a gig . Dh once tried to call the local 'open Mike' a date. I like going. but I might wave to him in passing. and the one night he ran it , I got a little more attention ( how does it sound, should I turn down the treble) So I get her point of view. However, you can usually make up for a caned holiday
