Suela, all the good that you did for your body isn't gone just because one (important, but still one) factor is not affected by it, right?
Indeed not. But it's annoying. I don't like this Getting Old thing.
Steph, I am going to start being better about oatmeal, and do the crock pot full of steel-cut oats every week. I'd really like to avoid being put on medication for this, if possible. If that means oatmeal every day, so be it.
At least my HDL levels were good...
Good luck with the kitty ears! Abby's outfit sounds delightful.
Sympathy for the cholesterol numbers, Consuela. That must be frustrating.
I saw this article linked elsewhere and thought it touched on some things we've talked about on occasion: Next Big Thing in English: Knowing They Know That You Know
Happy Birthday, Tom!
Liese, Wisconsin has a similar program. It does sound like fun.
Skipped and skimmed - what is the Devon Rex shoulder thing? Physical ailment or cat habit?
ita - did you watch Miami Medical? Is Jeremy Northam in your silver fox file? Because I think he should be.
BTW, haven't there been allegations of sexual abuse by priests in ROME?? Talking about close to the throne.
OMG, Jesse, that counter-Tea-Party Actual Tea Party protest is just about the best thing ever. If a similar opportunity ever comes up in the Bay Area I'm gonna be all over it like a thing that's all over another completely awesome thing.
Happy Birthday Tom!
I wish I remembered to eat more oatmea, because I LOVE it.

Right?? I'm actually considering going, even though I don't think anyone I know would be able to get off work for it.

Cat habit - they love to jump up and sit on your shoulder as you walk around, etc.
And, Happy Birthday, Tom!
If I see any good angle pics on Jeremy Northam, I'll certainly add them. Most of the ones I see kinda make his greying look like a trick of the light.

You should totally go and meet some of the b0st0n-ers! Some of them have been cracking my shit up on LJ for years. I'm idly wondering if I can wander over for lunch...
The Real Tea Party thing is awesome. My favorite part (and I suspect everyone else's):
I think that we should attempt to have the world's mildest, most inoffensive, polite counterprotest ever held. My ideal would be for the press to come up to interview people about their opinions on tax policies and health care, and have responses such as, "Oh, dear, isn't that a rather personal question?"
