OMG, Jesse, that counter-Tea-Party Actual Tea Party protest is just about the best thing ever. If a similar opportunity ever comes up in the Bay Area I'm gonna be all over it like a thing that's all over another completely awesome thing.
Right?? I'm actually considering going, even though I don't think anyone I know would be able to get off work for it.
Skipped and skimmed - what is the Devon Rex shoulder thing? Physical ailment or cat habit?
Cat habit - they love to jump up and sit on your shoulder as you walk around, etc.
And, Happy Birthday, Tom!
If I see any good angle pics on Jeremy Northam, I'll certainly add them. Most of the ones I see kinda make his greying look like a trick of the light.

You should totally go and meet some of the b0st0n-ers! Some of them have been cracking my shit up on LJ for years. I'm idly wondering if I can wander over for lunch...
The Real Tea Party thing is awesome. My favorite part (and I suspect everyone else's):
I think that we should attempt to have the world's mildest, most inoffensive, polite counterprotest ever held. My ideal would be for the press to come up to interview people about their opinions on tax policies and health care, and have responses such as, "Oh, dear, isn't that a rather personal question?"
Why is it in registration lines that I wind up next to the crowdy, overly friendly, fretful "it's taking so loooooooong and OMG we're gonna DIE before we get there!!!!" types? I'm not claustrophobic, but I do have people crowding too close and touching issues.
Damn, my pie crust is possibly the ugliest ever. Note to self: vegan pastry does not freeze well.

Note to Consuela's self: It's not how it looks, it's how it tastes
