Congratulations, Rick! Such a commitment to twins research!
(This is also why I don't believe in such a thing as "safe" nuclear power.)
I'm an advocate of nuclear power, but I wouldn't argue that any form of energy production is "safe," only "safer." Coal mining has killed and maimed many, many more people and ecological systems than uranium.
Yay Judge Walker, indeed!
People told us my biological clock would start to tick, and I suppose it did in the form of increasing sex drive, but it never did in terms of seeing pink baby faces and needing to raise them.
This is totally me. I have no idea what the "biological clock" is supposed to feel like, because I have never ever had a must-have-baby urge in my life. (Wondering what the biological clock feels like reminds me of the first time I smoked pot [hi, Internet] -- I kept asking my friends, "What should I be *feeling*? I'm not feeling anything! Should I be feeling something? What???")
If you get a dog that is smart enough, it can help you take care of the stupid one.
Our dogs disprove this. (Although Kato did do worse than Chloe on the hide-the-treat-under-a-cup test...)
Dana, GREEN SHOOOOOZ!
because I have never ever had a must-have-baby urge in my life.
Me either. Though it was weird when I started dreaming about being pregnant. It's happened a couple of times and kind of freaks me out.

This is totally me, too. I'm 47; if that alarm were going to ring, it would have rung by now.
alas, erika, I'm looking for a penis-bearing human at this point.
because I have never ever had a must-have-baby urge in my life.
OMG, after my divorce, every single guy I dated for more than 2 weeks I wanted to have a baby with. Don't ask me why and I was so frigging grateful that I'd had my tubes tied. Fortunately, those urges always passed quickly, but I never could figure where they came from. I had two kids, it's all I ever wanted, didn't really want more. But, it was like my genes would perk up and say "you'd make pretty babies--WANT!"
Do you mean bear as in biologically attached or bear as in bring one, cause we could probably find one for her to bring.
I am very thrilled the stay was lifted ( if it has, no chance to confirm yet), because I was sure the stay was going to be a sop to conservatives in a "well, it's legal, but we won't let them" sort of way.
My baby alarm rang. Thank dog it unrung. Sheesh. Entities. Dependent on me. Nightmare. But for a while the compulsion to replicate DNA was very strong. The problem was finding someone with the right similar-but-less-flawed DNA.
"De-tachable pe-nis"
Haven't had that earworm in a long time.
