Tracy: Well-- That call -- That call means you just murdered me. Mal: No, son. You murdered yourself. I just carried the bullet a while.

'The Message'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

because I have never ever had a must-have-baby urge in my life.

OMG, after my divorce, every single guy I dated for more than 2 weeks I wanted to have a baby with. Don't ask me why and I was so frigging grateful that I'd had my tubes tied. Fortunately, those urges always passed quickly, but I never could figure where they came from. I had two kids, it's all I ever wanted, didn't really want more. But, it was like my genes would perk up and say "you'd make pretty babies--WANT!"

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Do you mean bear as in biologically attached or bear as in bring one, cause we could probably find one for her to bring.

I am very thrilled the stay was lifted ( if it has, no chance to confirm yet), because I was sure the stay was going to be a sop to conservatives in a "well, it's legal, but we won't let them" sort of way.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My baby alarm rang. Thank dog it unrung. Sheesh. Entities. Dependent on me. Nightmare. But for a while the compulsion to replicate DNA was very strong. The problem was finding someone with the right similar-but-less-flawed DNA.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

"De-tachable pe-nis"

Haven't had that earworm in a long time.

I have a biological clock that wants kittens. It's disturbing.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

My ovary perks up at the sight or news of any new baby. I do have that pull, but I understand that not everyone does. Sometimes I ask if a couple is planning on having kids, but mostly in a conversational way like do you guys plan to buy a house/go to Fiji/get a dog and ONLY if I know the couple well enough to ask. Or, if I don't know them at all and usually then I wrap it up in a big ball of charm and cleavage so they don't get mad at me.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I have a biological clock that wants kittens.

My biological clock wants hairless kittens.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I should also point out that my maternal pull is basically for anything that needs being taken care of. Babies, kids, adults, animals, turtles. All of those things.
