And I just got an email from him that reconfirms that I did the right thing.
'The Girl in Question'
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Oh, smonster. I very fervently hope that you have a peaceful, relaxing weekend.
{{smonster}} Oh, honey. The whole situation just sucks. Please spend the weekend indulging in self-care, whatever that is for you.
I have absolutely no doubt you did the right thing, smonster. You didn't make the decision lightly, you had good reasons, and I'm sorry he's reminding you of those reasons so quickly. I hope you can get away from the situation and occupy yourself with something completely other, and thoroughly enjoyable.

I'm okay. I'm with amyth, Calli, and other friends. Which is a good thing, b/c after the angry email came the pleading email. "If you ever cared about me, please call me now..." It's hard to be strong.
The good thing about breaking up with a hermit is that he won't drive to my house and I won't run into him around town.
{{smonster}} Try to not read the emails for the 3 days.
I just skipped ahead from somewhere in Bitch 44, or maybe 43. It has been that long. I don't even know if this was posted in here, but I just read Trudy's COMM of Erin, and I just had to say...
I adore Erin's father, too.
And Erin.
This just warmed the cockles of my librarian heart.
If you haven't already, go read it: Trudy Booth "Coffee On My Monitor Again" Dec 4, 2009 12:39:03 pm PST
The hard part's over (I hope), smonster. I do think it might be a good idea to not read the emails for your radio silence period. It's for you as well as him. Just put some emotional space in there.
(((smonster)))
I know it's hard but it's the right thing.
