What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

God provides us neither orange chicken nor muffaletta.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

God provides us neither orange chicken nor muffaletta.

Or even something with turkey that isn't a muffaletta.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Geez, guess I'm going to have to stop at Quizno's after I do my grocery shopping. You guys are making me hungry.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Getting to the point where I have an actual confirmed job offer in hand is stressing me out, so maybe I should distract myself.

I'm Dana. I am also, last time we checked, the Buffista of longest duration. I posted in the first TT Buffy thread and have stuck with the group since then.

I'm a technical writer and editor. I also write fanfic and participate in fandom under a pseud, since some of my fanfic is rather dirty. I've been in fandom over 10 years and it influences the way I act and react online.

I've also been married for over ten years. No pets, but I do volunteer at the local no-kill shelter. I'm originally from New Orleans, and I miss it. After ten years in Texas, my husband and I moved to eastern Washington State, which is...nice enough, but not the South. I will always be a New Orleanian at heart, and I will always be Southern.

I've been singing in choirs since I was about 11, so you'll occasionally see me post about music and singing. I read and post in most threads, with the exception of Other Media, Cable Drama, Supernatural, and Spoilers.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

provided it didn't have bologna in it.

Muffalettas do not usually have bologna. I avoid bologna myself, but that's because my father was in the meat business. Sometimes my father would read the ingredients in competitors' bologna at dinner.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Somebody new needs to delurk; I am trying to avoid morning tasks. Can I get some support (not in e-mail), here, people?

Clovis is deciding if he wants to delurk or not.

hurries off to write more GCS fic, and stop being procrastinatey.

Hee!

Hmm, I wonder if there's anywhere in Seattle I could get a muffaletta so I could finally try one.

Keep breathing!

Hi, I’m Shari_H and I’ve been lurking consistently and posting rarely for a loooong time – since TableTalk days, through the forests of WorldCrossing, to the homely house of the Phoenix Board. I don’t think I’ve ever introduced myself before.

I believe that a house is primarily a place to store all your books, that Han shot first, that LOTR should be re-read often, that Buffy and Angel were great television, that Tim Minear is amazing (not to mention Joss!), and that the people here are cool.

I read BeepMe, COMM, Natter, and Bitches several times a week and definitely feel like I know a lot of people here, although only Nilly has ever heard from me off-board. My timing is generally bad. I’ve never managed a DC F2F or meet-up. I was visiting in NY when Nilly was in DC and was in DC when Nilly arrived in NY. When I see something on a thread that I’d like to chime in on, I’m usually days too late to respond. That last is why I’m so much more lurker than poster.

Although I’m comfortably within the 45+yo, married with kids group around here, I think I’m a bit of on outlier in board demographics in certain ways. I’m an Orthodox Jewish full-time-working mother of 6 (aged from 20yo down to 7yo) and a politically-active conservative Republican. I have no opinion on muffulettas because I’ve kept kosher for 20+ years and have never eaten one. I am a firm believer in serial commas. I trained in taekwondo for several years, reaching the red belt (two steps from black) in an all-women’s class, despite being a spatially-challenged bookworm. ita is my martial arts hero.

Lurking around Buffistas has often felt like I was eavesdropping on a meeting of the Algonquin Roundtable. I’ve learned a great deal from the people here and value the humor, wit, and compassion of this community. It’s not too far past Rosh Hashana for me to say: may this year be a wonderful one for all Buffistas and their loved ones.

Barb, I found that but couldn't find evidence that it still existed.

Yelp found The Lookout, Salumi, and Belle Epicurean, which is your best bet since I can actually see it on the menu. It's on potato herb bread, though. Weird.

Tim Minear is amazing (not to mention Joss!)

Tim is Joss?
