I would be there right now.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Stuff from Make:

Chain-link bagel? Meet Möbius doughnut

In response to guest author George Hart's "Mathematically-correct breakfast" piece in last week's inaugural "Math Monday" column, the folks at Serious Eats New York wanted to know "Why should the bagel get all the geometric jollies?" So they made themselves a "Möbius doughnut." Sweet.

(The finished product is actually NOT a Möbius strip, but two interlocking rings, just like the bagel, with each half achieved via a Möbius cut.)

Tactical assault carriages for babies

I recall late great UT-Austin Philosophy professor Robert Solomon once saying in lecture, "We're lucky babies are so helpless, because if they had any power at all they would destroy the world." Well, Chinese artist Shi Jinsong is apparently trying to immanentize that particular eschaton by arming the world's infants with engines of destruction worthy of a Space Marine Terminator. Way to go, dude.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Did I also mention that the toy I'm trying to ebay for Grace I have been outbid and missed at least twice now?

Sell Noah on eBay so you can bid higher?

(Nah, I got nothing. Sorry it's one of those days for you.)

Art Crawl!!!

Well, just came back from a trek to see a found kitty. It wasn't Ivan but it's so much warmer today that I hope he will venture out from wherever he is hiding and COME HOME.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Stuff from Make:

Make is awesome. Plus, they also have a TV show that airs (down here, at least) on PBS.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, sumi. I hope you get Ivan back soon.

And, Kat, sorry to hear the whole day is being a pill.

Watching Graham Norton interview a motley crew that includes 50 Cent and Catherine Tate. The man is good at bridging apparent gaps.

It appears I slept through yesterday.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

CJ and I are cleaning the apt in 20 minute spurts of energy. My room and bathroom are done. CJ's room is 75% done. Still have his bathroom, living room, dining table, and kitchen to go.

Plus we plan on putting together a gingerbread house at some point today.

I'm breathing better than earlier in the week. The cough isn't gone, but doesn't feel like I'm horking up a lung. Just get tired WAY too easily.

At bookstore failing to find most things on my list, but have found these two titles:

How to be a villian

The hussy's handbook

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I've already had/am still having a puking migraine today, which really annoys me because now it's too late to go to Target before the crowds get there.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Ugh. Perkins, I'm going to Target... anything I can get for you that will fit through the interwebs?

K took Noah to the San Fernando Mission (seriously) and I'm making soup. I need to go to Michaels to find little bags for the last of my xmas gifts as well as some tape. Then, done!

My Sunday is masquerading as a Monday. Does that mean tomorrow will be more enjoyable? We can hope.

Sadly, I need to return things (and buy stocking stuffers), but thanks.

I may get there before noon, and it's raining, so maybe it won't be too bad.
