Natter 64: Yes, we still need you

Many of the doctors and nurses don't believe I'm supposed to get as much as my specialist wants me to.
This just kills me. Why would someone who just met you think they know better than a long-term provider? I mean, seriously.
I have been having insanely long and complicated dreams this weekend. I wonder what my subconscious is up to.
A friend of mine was telling me that her boyfriend will variously laugh and yell in his sleep, which I think is fascinating -- he has a lot going on inside!
I deliberately had a lazy morning. Now it's time to get dressed and finish the shopping.
However, I think I may have discovered a small leak in my basement. Of the finished side, of course. It's dry now, but there's evidence of water creeping up 2 of four legs of a bookshelf, and on a box that was sitting on the floor. The whole area not much more than a square foot. It's possible that it's overflow from the dehumidifier and that it's an older water stain than I think, but I am going to have to watch closely on rainy days.
I've been looking for soft carriers for my cat, since the hard plastic one I have is a hassle to carry any distance, and a vet here is going to be farther away than the one I went to in NYC, and I'm starting to think taking a cab to the vet would be cheaper. I mean, I don't take him that often, and the decent bags are at least $50.
Oh, this is cool. iGo, which is a non-profit version of Zipcar in Chicago (we have both) is now set up with the CTA so you can use one card for both.
And
they have a car about two blocks from me. Sweet. I never use my Zipcar membership because I don't carry the card with me every day, and the car closests to home is about 8 blocks or so - just enough to make it a PITA.
Buh-bye Zipcar.

Now
that's
genius.
I don't think there's a great deal of love lost between ER docs and many office time specialists.
At least one of my long intricate dreams was cast with actors. I only remember the last 2 before I woke up, and I wonder at Matt Damon's inclusion (I like, but don't lurve him), but it was great to have extra visuals of Tony Head, even if he'd been beaten all to crap. I vote for more dreams like that one, despite the violence. Or maybe kinda partially because of it.

Brilliance!
Dylan and I made playdough this morning. Easiest non-peanut butter recipe EVER, courtesy of a neighbor whose mom was a preschool teacher. That should take us through the afternoon, and then my sisters are coming over for latkes.
My usual son has been replaced with Tino.
In addition to being up at 4:00 AM this morning and also having 2 potty accidents (in spite of being asked about 5 minutes before he actually peed in his pants if he needed to use his potty), he just fed a plate of biscuits to the dog. The biscuits, which is a recipe I've been trying to get to work for 5 iterations now, were finally delicious. I can't remake them, of course, because I'm out of both heavy cream and buttermilk.
I really really really really really want to scream. Yet it won't help.
Wonder what's up with Nilly.
JZ, that sounds very complicated. I wonder if anyone who doesn't have a SAHM or a nanny ever has easy to manage preschool issues.
Did I also mention that the toy I'm trying to ebay for Grace I have been outbid and missed at least twice now?
I mean, my life is nothing but stupid first world problems, but I am TIRED.
