In an overheard conversation, someone just "charmed" in.
Oh, like those NBC ads. I hope it was with a glockenspiel. Xylophones are so passe.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Kathy, I watched the same special late Saturday night!
Oh my god. Big!Boss made one of the assistants go down to our storage space and root through boxes and boxes of galleys going back to last year, because no one knows exactly when the Horrible Misspelled Guidelines were written, so we don't know which month it would have been filed with.
Our storage area? Is a section of the underground parking garage, delineated by thick concrete walls, with a chain-link fence "door." It's been in the 40s and 50s for over a week, and she has to dig through those boxes in an unheated concrete room in an underground parking garage.
For one goddamn misspelled word.
(No wonder everyone hates our department.)
ION, the Obama admininstration has told the DOJ to leave state-licensed medical marijuana sellers alone:
thanks for sharing this, Jess. My brother works for the Marijuana Policy Project and this is huge for them. (obviously, but still really cool to me)
Ok, now I'm curious... What is dry drunk behavior?
Wait - the guidelines are a least a year old and no one caught it and now someone is in an unheated garage trying to find it.
Who Cares? Fix it and go on .
Not that I could do teppy's job, but I'd end up being fired because of a bad attitude.
The Blame game is stupid. Figuring out where to put blame, doesn't actually fix the problem
Yes indeed. It's a memoir about ... how much this guy thinks we should all believe in God, and REJECT SATAN.
::bangs head against desk whilst crying::

Someone who isn't an alcoholic who drinks (either an alcoholic who quit drinking, or someone who was never an alcoholic but was raised by one/married to one/etc.), but whose behavior/thought/relationship patterns are still damaging/abusive/destructive, etc.
Dr. Google could probably elaborate better than I can.

I was going to ask the same. I recall the phrase being used to describe GWB as well.
There are certain obsessive characteristics associated with alcoholics such as lying, an overwhelming need to be right and being hypercritical of others that often still characterize people who have stopped drinking. I used to say I should make buttons to sell to Alanon that said "Sober is not enough."
