This thread is for Buffista quotage. Posts that are profound, witty, or otherwise deserving of immortality go here. This is also Shrift's source for the BRQG, so be aware that if your words end up here, they'll also end up there. Finally, please note which thread spawned the quotage and please white-out anything that might be spoilery to Un-Americans.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Stephanie, in Natter re: Ayn Rand:

I wouldn't take dating advice from her either.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Daisy Jane, in Music, no context needed:

Knowing may be half the battle, but knowing buffistas will win it!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

In Bitches, summing us up nicely.

Jessica: Being a Buffista means never having to say "Am I the only one who misread that?"

Daisy Jane: And yet, saying it anyway.

move out and draw fire

billytea in Bitches:

If I were ever to get a Hanzi tattoo, it would be 有仁 ('Yŏu Rén'). It means 'benevolent'. It's also Ryan's Chinese name. I'm pretty confident I haven't mistranslated it or missed any "Ich Bin Ein Berliner" wackiness (unless Wallybee's parents are in on it, and I wouldn't entirely put it past her father). It is, however, phonetically identical to "This toilet is occupied".

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Ginger: I had a friend who became obsessed with hot yoga, and she too lost a lot of weight. I would only lose weight with hot yoga because one can't eat while passed out.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Context? Who needs context? It's far better NOT having context!

In Bitches (where else?) javachik :

I hope someone got some last night, because I didn't! I was too busy enjoying myself!

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

In the Gaming thread, BSG play-by-post.

billytea: Look how chatty you all got! *sniff* Makes a Cylon proud.

NoiseDesign: I'm so glad to know who my fellow appliance is.

omnis_audis: apparently you got the "water works" version. Maybe he's a dishwasher and not a toaster.

Zenkitty: You moved in there with the assurance that you'd be able to get out of the building quickly in a fire. Without jumping out a window.

Hil R.: Aren't you not supposed to use elevators if there's a fire?

Zenkitty: Hush. I've got the righteous indignation going.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

The buffista blueprint for world domination:

Stephanie: We do have many areas covered.

smonster: And the rest are strategically uncovered, and sprinkled with glitter.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

In Procedurals, during a discussion about the pretty men of Criminal Minds:

Vortex: I can appreciate the various attractive characteristics of MGG, but I would break him like a twig. That is not hot.
