Translation: Bitch, it is ON!
Oh that is just awesome. And It's nice to hear from Sir Ian himself that I'm not alone in having problems turning off the vocal effects. Once you've been trained how to speak properly from the stage it is difficult to stop.
That clip keeps crashing my IE.
We're watching Man of Steel. This is the stupidest portrayal of Jonathan Kent I've ever seen. It literally makes no sense.
Girl, the movie gets worse. So bad. But there are people here who liked it so I will pipe down.
I think it had the potential to be a really interesting different movie. Unfortunately, it's not the movie they made.
They're currently destroying downtown Smallville. There's just so much random stuff.
Who decided that Kryptonians don't have a system of morality? Why is the evil woman lecturing Clark about evolution when the Kryptonians took evolution out of the picture entirely? If Zod and company were only in the Phantom Zone until Krypton was destroyed, that was, what, about twelve hours?
Now they're terraforming Metropolis, which also makes no sense dramatically, because this Superman has NO connection with Metropolis. It's just where the Daily Planet happens to be.
Didn't see it; it's not my Superman.
Indeed, the character of Pa Kent was so bad, it was just stupid. There was a lot of COOL stuff in the movie and a lot of OTT fighting and destruction pron*, but there's so much that didn't make sense, even within the suspended-disbelief universe the movie created. I think the movie was written for (and possibly by) adolescent boys who read comic books for the BIFF BAM POW and never notice there's anything more to the stories.
*I'm all about giant overpowered creatures stomping all over stuff. But there has to be a decent story there; if the plot exists just to showcase destruction, it becomes boring fast.
Now they're terraforming Metropolis, which also makes no sense dramatically, because this Superman has NO connection with Metropolis. It's just where the Daily Planet happens to be.
I read this out loud to Beau and he said: "that's an excellent point."
