Now they're terraforming Metropolis, which also makes no sense dramatically, because this Superman has NO connection with Metropolis. It's just where the Daily Planet happens to be.

Everything I've heard about Man of Steel makes me sure I'll hate it. (plus I already hate Zack Snyder). But yes, I too have good friends who love it, for whatever baffling reasons.
Zen, I'm hoping the new Godzilla turns out to be awesome. I mean, it's Walter White vs. the Giant Monster, so what's not to love?
Complaints like this, from people whose taste I trust is why I didn't bother with Man of Steel.

I don't actually have a huge problem with the end of the Zod fight, character-wise. The fact that they end up in that situation is stupid, bad writing.

That's pretty much the worst part. From what I've heard, I can think of six or seven different ways they
could
have earned it. They just didn't.
