Maroon was always paired with "im-bess-ill" for imbecile with Bugs, so I suspect it had nothing to do with any known terms, just comical miss-prow-nun-see-ations.
Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I have never read the book, so-- I have seen 2 trailers for Perks of Being a Wallflower, one of which features "come on Eileen", and one of which features David Bowie's "Heroes", and I can't tell whether this is a period piece, and the people are my age, but teenagers in 1980 whatever, or if they are hipsters. Please advise.

I think it's this. Also it's gotten really good reviews.
The book is set in the 1980s.
Nothing to see here. Move along. Move along.
God bless Shane Black for giving me someonething else to ship Stark with. He is my favourite Marvel LBD.
I just saw Frankenweenie. That lightly hit a few current hot buttons, but what a fun movie. Definitely the best Tim Burton movie since...I think I may go with Jilli here and say Big Fish.
And, again, agreeing with Jilli, I'm not sure I could see Big Fish again anytime soon.
Having now seen Cloud Atlas twice in one week, I can safely say that it is an amazing movie. It's got a lot of problems, and as a fan of the book I wish they'd gone in a different direction, but still, it's a phenomenal accomplishment.
How long is Cloud Atlas?
