Could just be a hoax, though. I fake some headaches, everyone gets used to poor helpless Spike. Then one day, no warning, I snap a spine, bend a head back, drain 'em dry. Brilliant.

Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Fairy tales: the original horror movies.

That reminds me of Seanan's blog post about the intersection of horror, fantasy, and urban fantasy.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

The Queen is invited to the wedding of the prince and his new bride, not realizing that the new bride is Snow White. At the wedding, a pair of heated iron shoes are brought out with tongs, and the Queen is forced to wear them and dance until she dies.

That's like something right out of Game of Thrones.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Chopped off their heels and toes, as my mom would remind me often when we were shoe shopping.

Oh, yeah, big fan of Into the Woods, so we could even sing about the blood in the shoes...if we wanted to.

Just sayin'...made to work in the laundry and being dyed purple...those ladies got off WAAAY easy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have that same collection, Jilli.
