[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Laga, if you can't get lavender, would rosemary work? I find the scent of the two similar ... not sure about the taste.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I love rosemary; I probably overuse it.

“Not dead yet!”

Laga, I think lavender soup would be pretty ...

We had a chilled blueberry soup at our wedding reception. Tasty and pretty!

Both our girls are excellent sleepers. We suspect it's not superior parenting, but we don't care.

Blessings! Blessings on your house.

I say this as the neighbor of a gorgeous, healthy, lovey little boy who is so, very not a good sleeper. His poor parents roam the streets zombie-like. tsk. One can't help but feel for them.

I've enjoyed some cold fruit soups that were very colorful. So I can't see anything wrong with lavender.

oh yes, it would work in a fruit soup, but mentally, I would expecting a sweet taste, but getting savory.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I eat purple potatoes often enough to not have any cognitive dissonance over lavender-colored savory things.

It was my first time! And I am queen of all things purple.

After all this talk I am dying to make a fruit soup. The last one I made was not creamy. I used watermelon, champagne (OK, cava) & jalapenos. It was fantastic.

During my recuperation, my office sent a basket of edibles, including lots of fruit, much of which is still lingering in my refrigerator. The other evening - wanting something sweet and wanting to use some of the fruit before it went completely bad - I took some of the apples, peeled them, cut them into chunks (removing the bad spots), tossed them with a little sugar and cinnamon, and baked the whole thing. yum!

That is totally my go-to thing whenver I have fruit that is about to go bad. It works with so many!

I like mixing oatmeal, butter and brown sugar to top baked apples.
