Ugh Vortex, I have so BTDT (last year's web designer as a matter of fact) and am royally pissed on your behalf.

It's complicated because her family has only just start to tolerate me, and I obviously don't want to upset them at the moment.

I'm trying to decide what to do today. There's a grad student seminar that I really ought to go to -- the guy giving the talk is one of my classmates who's working in the same field as me, and it seems rude to skip it, since I'm one of the only two people in the department who have a chance of actually understanding what he's talking about -- but my ankle is really hurting and I don't want to put too much strain on it by walking too much.

ha! It's fine. I have actually done a lot of stuff, so it's not like I have nothing to present, but since I showed them a draft design last time, it would have been nice to have a finished product. They may not even ask about it.
