Book: Afraid I might be needing a preacher. Mal: That's good. You lie there and be ironical.

'Safe'

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

And ya, I still feel a bit loser-esque for being 37 and still no S.O.

eh. I was thinking that, but then I realized that I'm happy. I could be like the woman who got drunk at our 10 year and cried about how terrible her marriage was and how she was so unhappy and wanted a divorce, then hooked up with a guy that she'd dated twice in high school.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I have always felt better off alone than with someone awful.

The status is NOT quo.

Yay, devilbunny sighting!

ETA: And I just re-read the "Joe" posts and am now laughing my ass off. Awesome.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Joe unplugged the laptop and it logged him out of b.org. BOOO.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Well Joe's just no damn fun. Not giving Aimee camels or unfettered b.org access -- MEAN.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Heh. And here I was, all prepared to have a detailed convo with MM about cramps and lip gloss.

Ok, last mememe for a while -- I am just floored by having the Internet again. Did I mention that bf got it as my bday present?

I am stupified, sometimes, that everything has changed so fast, for theOMFG so much better.

It astonished me, and freaks me out. Like, holy shit, everything is so amazing and it's usually such shit. How do I possibly deserve to be so happy?

And then I get all sensible - "Well, moron, you finally made a fantastic choice!"

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Sinuses are clearly a design flaw.

I filled in one of the gaps in one of the proofs in my dissertation today, but I don't really like the way I did it. It's logically sound, but it's just not a terribly good proof -- it pulls in a ton of stuff that seems irrelevant, and it uses all of that stuff, but I don't have any good reason why that stuff should be related to this proof.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

"I could write a book too if I only had the time,"

My variation on this would be, "I could write a book too if only had a speck of ability to come up with a plot. Oh, and characters, too." This is why I've done so well with Trek smut. The characters are already there, and well... no need for plot at all.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Sinuses are clearly a design flaw.

Did you know a human nose could get kicked three times by inept stage divers and not bleed even once? Twice my sinuses... um, "released" and I felt like there was blood everywhere but there was not. NOW I know why we have sinuses - they're shock absorbers!

Of course, now I have a wicked sinus headache and am taking medications I need to show ID for.
