Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I love love loved Hot Fuss. Was lukewarm on the next two, haven't gotten the latest.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Bjork's new video for 'Mutual Core' makes geology look downright perverted

This stunning new video for "Mutual Core" makes us wish we had Bjӧrk for a geology teacher. Buried waist-deep in sand and surrounded by dancing rocks, she schools us in the ways of seasonal shifts and the shuffling of tectonic plates. But as the Atlantic ridge drifts to counteract the distance between herself and the object of her desire, the sedimental layers are ruptured by the sexual tension, what results in an explosion of volcanic activity. Science has never been so sexy.

The video was directed by Andrew Thomas-Huang, and the song can be found on Bjӧrk's latest album, Biophilia.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Science has never been so sexy.

Pfft. Obviously unfamiliar with Isabella Rossellini's Green Porno.

Is Amazon still doing its 25 days of free holiday downloads thing? I can't seem to find it this year.

Art Crawl!!!

Article in The Atlantic about the Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah".

I hadn't realized that a book had been written about the history of that song's rise to tv/film domination.

Because books.

Dave Brubeck died. He was 91.

Is Amazon still doing its 25 days of free holiday downloads thing?

It's here. It was hard to find this year.

Because books.

If you need to find it again, on the homepage of the MP3 store, in the sidebar on the left, it's "Free Holiday Songs" under the header Holiday Music.
