Science has never been so sexy.
Pfft. Obviously unfamiliar with Isabella Rossellini's Green Porno.
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Is Amazon still doing its 25 days of free holiday downloads thing? I can't seem to find it this year.
Article in The Atlantic about the Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah".
I hadn't realized that a book had been written about the history of that song's rise to tv/film domination.
Dave Brubeck died. He was 91.

It's here. It was hard to find this year.
Thanks Amy!
If you need to find it again, on the homepage of the MP3 store, in the sidebar on the left, it's "Free Holiday Songs" under the header Holiday Music.
Is this the creepiest love song ever? (I'm linking only to the lyrics, cause the music is some of the dullest ever, which makes it creepier.)
"If I could Light the world, We could sit And watch it burn. We could fall asleep inside the glow"
and also "If I could Take you in, Feeling you deep Beneath my skin Then I could Slip away With you as a poison in my veins"
Note this is Blake Sheldon's "Over". Well known mainstream country artist. Until this I always thought of him as extremely dull, but harmless. Now I think of him as dull and creepy.
Poor writing. But also my reaction to those sentiments is "stay the hell away from me."
Interesting story about the members of Tallulah Gosh and what they're doing now.

Love Tallulah Gosh! How interesting. Much nicer than finding out Miki Berenyi is working in a record shop.
