Over a month late but the funeral mass for Shane MacGowan was amazing. It was practically a state funeral & the music- perfect. The family jumped over the pews & danced during “Fairytale of New York”.

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Aww, fuck. RIP Brian Wilson.
I have a pair of My Chem tickets for July 19th at Oracle Park in SF that I won't be able to use.
I'd rather they go directly to some fan instead of into the hands of a scalper. If you need them or know of someone who does, get in touch :)
Finally saw the My Chem tour in NJ. Dude. Dude.
I need K-pop girl group suggestions for ltc. The soundtrack to K Pop Demon Hunters and Blackpink is the extent of my knowledge.

Flea is your all-knowing resource here.
I knew someone was! Thank you, Hec. I’ll contact her.
Someone has recently been posting a crapton of New Musical Express issues from the late ’70s and early ’80s on the Internet Archive. Just looking at the gig listings is blowing my mind.
David, check out this issue from July 1981. An all-time great cover photo of Grace Jones, plus an interview with The Cramps!

Occasionally the listings for the I-Beam, a SF club that was a five minute walk from my apartment show up, and all of their listings from the early 80s are insane. It'll be like Siouxsie and the Banshees, followed by Dream Syndicate followed by The Cure. All in a small club with a huge sound system.
Great resource, Tom! Thanks.
