Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

The were marvelous. Mark dying was a tragedy. Probably the first music related tragedy I remember suffering.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I'll try 'em, tommy. Heard of them before, but never got to the "actually listening to" part.

What I hope to start listening to soon, however, is that Wovenhand CD I've ordered. David Eugene Edwards is unbelievably talented.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

What I hope to start listening to soon, however, is that Wovenhand CD I've ordered.

Which album? eMusic has them, so I might check them out....

Mosaic. If you like them, you should also try 16 Horsepower.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Hello music hivemind. I am on a recognition committee, and the idea has been floated to have some kind of theme song for our May event. Yes, I know, potentially very painful. That's what I'm trying to avoid.

So, any suggestions for "yay team" kind of songs that aren't cringe-inducing? We Are the Champions and Simply the Best are right out, due to PTSD from a Office-worthy team-building event years ago.

No profanity or religion, please. Bonus points if it involves "growing" or plant-tending metaphors, but that is not necessary.

"Oak Tree" by The Time?

“Not dead yet!”

Smonster, how about "The Cup of Life" (La Copa de la Vida) which was the World Cup theme from ten or so years back? It's uplifting and actually sounds like a fun, party song. Ricky Martin did it.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

“Not dead yet!”

That's just mean.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

So, any suggestions for "yay team" kind of songs that aren't cringe-inducing?

Can you teach them the Haka?
