Hello music hivemind. I am on a recognition committee, and the idea has been floated to have some kind of theme song for our May event. Yes, I know, potentially very painful. That's what I'm trying to avoid.
So, any suggestions for "yay team" kind of songs that aren't cringe-inducing? We Are the Champions and Simply the Best are right out, due to PTSD from a Office-worthy team-building event years ago.
No profanity or religion, please. Bonus points if it involves "growing" or plant-tending metaphors, but that is not necessary.
Smonster, how about "The Cup of Life" (La Copa de la Vida) which was the World Cup theme from ten or so years back? It's uplifting and actually sounds like a fun, party song. Ricky Martin did it.
