Because books.

Where is it you want them to go with his character, Morgana?

Otherwise, ten? Hard.

Oh yeah. Some of mine are on there, but I feel like I have different top tens for different reasons. For brother moments, for backstory, etc. Picking an overall top ten is just HARD.

I love that EW loves and features the show, though. Sometimes I still feel like it exists in this little bubble where no one knows about it but us.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Picking an overall top ten is just HARD.

You know you're gonna have to do it when the season's over, right? I'd like to hold everyone to that task. Sure, there can be themed top tens, but there should also be an overall one, for the pain creating it would cause.

It's not called the hellatus for nothing.

I haven't seen much in other places calling for Sam's excoriation, and I've been back on the reading-everything bandwagon since PoNR. Mostly, character-criticism-wise, it was people who spent most of the episode wanting to slap Dean silly, and then coming round to Brotherly Bond cheering in the end. And people not being happy about the re-introduction of Adam.

But I'm not up to date at TWOP. I got out of the habit of reading them, and I haven't gotten back to that place in the cravings for material yet.

I love that EW loves and features the show, though. Sometimes I still feel like it exists in this little bubble where no one knows about it but us.

Between that and Variety, I was very chuffed. Still, more photos please! Not just screen caps or ep promo shots.

Because books.

Oh, I will. Try to stop me, dude. I've got a whole list of ... lists to make. And I look forward to it.

Yeah, I can't see fans of the show wanting either brother *dead*. What the hell is that about?! They're a team! A matched set! They make each other better! (Except when they're making each other worse.)

I'd have to sit and think about it, but I don't object to Sam's growth in the series. It hasn't been completely consistent, I'm sure, but I think now!Sam has come a long way, fairly logically, from S1 Sam.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

my list isn't complete without either Tall Tales or Wishful Thinking. i have an unhealthy love for both of them.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

My Tall Tales love is unhealthy, too!

But possibly not as unhealthy as my love for The End.

I dunno, I feel like I've been watching the Sam Winchester is Awesome and Self Aware, and Waiting for the OTHER Idjits to Notice This Show for a while now. Like he's become Awesome Mature Thoughtful Sam instead of Angry Young Emo Sam! And there's a logical progression that we've seen! This appears, also, to be the show many of my friends who started out mainly in it for the Dean are watching.

This is what I've seen, too!

And Dean has gone from Brash Cocky Black-and-White Dean to ... Disillusioned Sadfaced Tired But Still Fighting Dean, although I would argue that had to happen, given what we've learned and everything that's happened.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What Plei said about Sam. I definitely feel payoff/evolution from misled ego-driven S4!Sam. And nobody in Show has paid any attention.

I'm still a Dean!Girl, though.

Dean has gone from Brash Cocky Black-and-White Dean to ... Disillusioned Sadfaced Tired But Still Fighting Dean

He's had the hole inside for a long time, it's just how he's working around it that's different. And, NOT TO SAY PORN, but I think he's (NOT PORN) filling it with (NOT PORN) Sam differently now.

Also, I'd love to see him verbally process that he has other people to let down, although I think JA conveyed Dean's reactions to Bobby and Castiel quite well.

I just made an episode spreadsheet. That can't end well. I realised that since the last time I made a list, I've rewatched all of S3 and S4, and can therefore pick my top episodes from those seasons.

But it hurts! Mummy, hold me!

It didn't make it much easier, my first pass on giving every episode so far star ratings. Surprisingly, season 4 is lower on 5s so far than 3, but it's way high on 4 star ratings.

But I need to review it again. And possibly again. Then again.

Because books.

I think Dean has had that hole inside forever, pretty much. He just didn't know it until recently.

I just made an episode spreadsheet. That can't end well.

Aw! Actually, it's probably a good thing I don't know how to make one of them.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

For some reason I seem to place the first identification of the hole as In My Time of Dying, but reading the transcript doesn't support that. So I'm going to have to go with Croatoan, as the first time, I think.

The spreadsheet is pretty simple. I'm going to rate every episode out of five, and then once that is done put in a column for overall ranking, and maybe one for in-season ranking.

I haven't made an episode spreadsheet since mid-Angel. ::sigh::

Oh--question that occurred to me elsewhere--were Katie Cassidy, Lauren Cohan, and/or Genevieve Cortese series regulars?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I've been so upset with what they've done with his character (or rather, with what they haven't done with his character) as the show's progressed that I have no faith in their treatment of him any longer.

I have to wonder, do you enjoy watching the show still? And interacting fannishly with it? I know there are people that have dropped SPN and they seem happier not watching than they were watching and talking about a show that upset them.
