My happy place is huge for this episode. Which is probably why the gender fail stuff confused me.
I'm going to rewatch in a little while, too. For some reason this time this John was much more *John* to me than he was the first time around.

Me, too. It makes a nice bridge between JDM!John and Young!John.

Boy, did it ever!
Last night's episode was a HUGE emotional pay-off. I am very happy with it!
There was so much to process, my brain short-circuited a few times. And so much angst. And so many callbacks!
The angel thing at the end gave me an actual chill.
I just want to reiterate that that Mary/Anna fight was COMPLETELY BADASS.
(...And hot?)

It was Castiel, okay? Okay?
GOOD CALL.
I am sad Mom and Dad didn't get to meet Castiel, even if they were going to forget him. He's looking out for their boys as much as he can. Misha's really not getting much to do.
eta: OMG. Trailer for next week. Alky Dean...Sam with bloodface. Man, the first synopsis of this episode I read sounded haha funny.

Mary with the knife was completely badass and hot.
(ita, please don't tell me if she was doing it wrong)
Mary with the knife was completely badass and hot.
Esp. knowing she's fighting while knocked up.
Which puts this episode at probably late May, early June 1978.
