Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The timing of this episode with the TNT episodes is pretty great. Getting to see Sam admit to Dean that he never got to say to his father what he needed to...then seeing him do it...then seeing those memories wiped. ::sniff::

Because books.

My happy place is huge for this episode. Which is probably why the gender fail stuff confused me.

I'm going to rewatch in a little while, too. For some reason this time this John was much more *John* to me than he was the first time around.

Me, too. It makes a nice bridge between JDM!John and Young!John.

Boy, did it ever!

Last night's episode was a HUGE emotional pay-off. I am very happy with it!

Because books.

There was so much to process, my brain short-circuited a few times. And so much angst. And so many callbacks!

The angel thing at the end gave me an actual chill.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I just want to reiterate that that Mary/Anna fight was COMPLETELY BADASS.

(...And hot?)
