Active in both art and writing in whatever way.
Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
I don't know if the events in this fanart [link] are speculation or spoiler, though it has been reported that the main character will be back before season's out.
THAT EVENT. I would love it.
I would love it.
As would I.
I do SPN fanart now, but I ceased working on fic (for the fandom, not completely) when I started working on the art. It wasn't an intentional cessation - it just sort of worked out that way.
It's much easier to ingest a wide range of fan art than fic, even though I slog through some awful writing and zoom past the art I don't like. I've seen a couple people illustrate their own stories, but I just can't remember having bumped into pictures from someone currently arting and stories from them currently writing.
Does the inspiration pull you in different directions? Do you feel like an idea is better shared visually? Or are you just getting more pictures in your head than detailed scenarios?
Hell, how are you inspired? What was the last picture you published (link, pls!) and why did you do it? Are you working on anything now?
eta: unrelatedly, I'm still unable to avoid reposting SPN entries on my dash with the effective comment of "your idea is really emo and sweet, but if you'd been paying attention to the canon as opposed to just that one picture/five minutes/episode you'd see a different pattern." But I'm pretty sure more people will be all over the feels they get from Dean sleeping clothed because of Mary, as opposed to remembering that he slept under the covers in underwear from season one through three.
Perhaps the greatest indignity escalating threat levels have inflicted on us - Dean feeling the need to wear jeans to bed!
I'm not going to say I don't miss his tightly-clad ass, but on the other hand, the un-highlighted after effects of the Hell trauma are one of my favourite things about the show. How long did they take to call out he was afraid of dogs?
Bless. I have a lot of favourites, clearly, but that's a bigge (and it encompasses drinking too).

I think right now, I'm finding the act of drawing more satisfying and soothing than the act of writing. Right now, writing just sort of feels like a slog. As for inspiration, I tend to work both art and story off of quick visual flashes of a moment. With writing, I have to figure out how the hell to get to that moment, and where things go after. With art, I can focus on the moment and imply a lot of stuff that happens in the before and after.
Most recently, I've submitted sketches to the SPN artist swap. They're not my best work, but I found it enjoyable, and it was fun to draw something that was straight-up horror. As for current projects, I just finished up a very time-consuming original piece, but I'm going to be participating in both the SPN crossover big bang and the main BB.
Are you going to be doing any of the BBs this year?

Oh, it drives me nuts when people fixate on one particular moment that feeds their 'feels' and ignore everything else about the character or canon.
I am intimidated the fuck out by that swap. Go you. If some of those artists drew from my sketches or I had to go off there, I'd have a brain (and hand) freeze of epic proportions. Right now, I function best in relative isolation. But your stuff looks really good.
I'm in the Ruby Teensy Bang right now (I don't even know how I heard of it--maybe the SPN Art Support journal had a mention, but I'm barely on LJ these days), and I have done three pieces and really want to do three more before we post Saturday. The minimum is one, but I'd like to give her a section separator, title card, and pic for each section of the story.
I did also sign up for the normal BB, and we'll see about that one. I'm just so fussy about what I will read, topic-wise, and drawing is even more limited. But every time apart from once I've enjoyed the challenges, so I hope it all goes well. At least as far as the D/C bang. That's where I'm most likely to be able to pick freely from stories. Watch me do that and end up with a John-hater, tho.

And tumblr feels like it's full of people who've telescoped their reactions, so everything before season 5 is a bit hazy and less integrated into meta. GO BACK AND WATCH, INFANT.
Supernatural, I HATE YOU.
My last picture for the bang just got arsed up because of the magical disappearing rearview mirror. Go--have a google!
I have to start again, and maybe I am putting too much Impala in the picture. Vents? Wipers? Locking mechanism on the back doors? THIS IS A STORY ABOUT RUBY. Focus.
It looks as though the CW is going to air SPN repeats on Friday nights beginning May 3rd.
The network has decided that the Winchester brothers are so nice they want to show them twice.
