I started following this tumblr because there were good graphics. But I think I've got to let it go. I don't care about wife information--in fact, shipping a real life couple to the point where you're what-iffing a sympathetic pregnancy weight gain even as you also cheerfully call pictures of cast members goofing around "flirting", well: [link] The fuck? Are we Teen Wolf or some stupidness? Well, shipping is the great leveller, I guess. There's no high ground anywhere, except the high horse I'ma try get off of.

Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
I don't get it. It looks like they're trying to get people to send tweets demanding canon Dean/Castiel. Beyond pointlessness, what's the issue?
I think we've already gotten as close as we're going to get, which doesn't really bother me as it's closer than any show I can think of that didn't set out to openly depict a m/m relationship. In my read of the text, it's been demonstrated and explicitly stated by third parties that Cas is in love with Dean, and is likely that Dean is fully aware of the fact and uninterested in pursuing anything beyond Platonic friendship.
Beyond pointlessness, what's the issue?
Remember the days when you weren't supposed to talk about slash with cast and crew? I know those days are gone--I've cheerfully broken that rule myself.
But to encourage an assault of numbers on a show's crew to get your way plotwise? I think that's still hugely bad fan manners. Bad people manners. You want Dean and Castiel to be naked friends? Get a job writing for the show, for starters.
I'm not B or O enough (hell, what Q?) for BOFQ, but if I were, I'd rap some knuckles and tell people how to be polite to people who don't work for you, for whom you are not the customer, even if you are the consumer, and let them make the plot-related decisions they want to.
Yes, they already know seven million (loud) people ship any given ship--the difference between D/C and Sterek is that SPN is. in general, a more seasoned fanbase (although TW has enough migrants from other shows that I'm still surprised that they're running through some episodes like it's their first time at the rodeo) AND THE SHOW HAS BEEN LADLING FANSERVICE AT US FOR YEARS.
I feel really strongly that plot decisions don't fall in the hands of fans. And pitching a twitter fit is not going to make a single person on the crew, IMO, think D/C is a better idea than they think right now. That campaign is more likely to have negative results onscreen than positive, and negative results for D/C shipper reputation in specific, SPN or fandom at large in general.
You make it past age 12, you should know to stop screaming at a story to get your way. Fandom took Bela off the show and sent Jo to the cornfield for a good long time--the writers have listened to us way too much so far, and I think that the separation between us and them should be shored up, not peppered with electronic missives.

This. And this is purely speculation -- and don't get me wrong, I love him to death -- but I honestly don't know how comfortable JA would be with a canon m/m relationship. For one, I don't think he's all that comfortable doing m/f love scenes.
Based on stuff I've heard regarding his work on Blonde, I don't think Jensen would have any qualms about it unless he felt it went against established characterization. And given the nature of network TV, I doubt love scenes would ever become an issue—he's probably been more physically affectionate with Misha for the cameras at conventions than the show would ever require if it did go there.
For one reason or another, his sex scenes are less...naked? Flagrant? Nekkid? Something, anyway, than Jared's. I haven't the least idea why, since I don't think it's important to Dean's characterisation for sex scenes to be rare or particularly missionary. Jensen is one of the notable variables there.
Are we avoiding actor gossip in here to the point nobody's mentioned Jensen and Danneel's news? Pretty exciting for them, they're expecting. Gonna be one pretty child.
I just didn't know. That's exciting news!
Aw, cool!
