[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
Take that, Clark Kent!
X-Files. Ahem.
I guess I assumed X-Files would be on the cult list, but I think I've lost the thread of the conversation now.
I thought X-Files only went 7 seasons?
I thought it went, like, nine? Maybe not. At the end it was all very confusing.
Matt, that's the trauma induced dissociative fugue talking.
(FTR, 9 seasons, and oh, what a painful end).
edit: Amy, you're totally right. I thought eight, but nine it is.
It was quite a while before I even realised I hadn't watched through until the end--there was a point at which quitting it was unthinkable, but Jesus. When it got bad it wasn't worth sticking around for the insanity. No matter my previous love. I booked it, and had some convenient amnesia to boot.
Yeah, it got to Scully having Mulder's baby and I just threw up my hands and waited for any decent monster-of-the-week episodes.
Which is pretty much what I did all along, actually, now that I think about it. The mythology got too tangled, with too many loose ends for me early on. If I cherry-picked episodes to buy, they'd all be MotW, I bet.
Here's a vaguely on-topic question: Do you think Sam and/or Dean would have watched X-Files? And if so, what episodes do you think they would have loved, ironically or not?
I bet Dean would have loved The Unnatural.
