Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You shouldn't have voted against Kevstiel, should you?

Because books.

I didn't vote against it! I offered additional ideas! Hmph.

See who gets all the Dean/Cas purgatory fic I'll be writing this PURGATUS.

I would prefer Purgatoratus. Lots of fun syllables! Though I don't write fic and haven't read any for years. I just like saying it. Purgatoratus, purgatoratus, purgatoratus.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

If a Winchester-less episode is needed, I vote for one featuring Sheriff Mills, Cas, and Crowley.

Ooh, I think you might have something with purgatoratus.

I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.

I've realized that what I want to see, both in fic and in the show, is Sam and Dean living long enough to get old. I think that would be the perfect final scene of the series for me - a 30 second end tag showing one of them sitting on the front steps, visibly in his 60s or 70s, and then joined by the other one, also that age, who bumps his shoulder as he sits down beside him. I can't decide what music should be playing though - maybe an acoustic version of "Carry On"?

I don't know if I want the series to go out that happily or not. I might also be satisfied with them Bonnie and Clyding it off this mortal coil.

CRYING NOW, THANKS. (That's perfect. Sniffle.)

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

But I do think I could stand 42 minutes of Kevin and Cas both being...adorable. And serious. Seriously adorable.

I approve of this. Approvingly. With approval. Yes.

Man, sometimes you're reading a mediocre fic, and they suddenly get you with a good chapter. Characterisation is nothing special in this AU, but both the concept and execution of Sam and Cas as FBI partners breaking into a building in the night and getting into a firefight? Distractingly hot, and the end of the chapter took me totally by surprise. Fucking canon. Fucking Jake.

And to tie back into past blathering--Dean forcibly separated from Sam, Cas beyond his reach, and *deliberately* avoiding Bobby is not a full participant in a relationship. I forgot about his cutting off of Bobby--he's going to be the least of the three in terms of on-the-road hunting memories, but I think it was supposed to be clear that there was one link left and he had to make an all or nothing call. Having Bobby in his life would have been too much hunting, and he wouldn't have been able to be as present for Lisa as he needed to be and ended up being.
