I wonder why they're so definitely not pairing us with Vampire Diaries again...but I can see where the synergy with Beauty and the Beast comes, but since there are five hundred million screaming hormone-swirling females¹ watching Show...why not?

SPN used to air Thursdays, so what was on Thursday in the 8:00 EST slot about 5 years ago?
The last thing it was on Thursdays was TVD, but my memory is totally shot before then.

I thought that TVD aired before Supernatural at one point. . . or am I totally confused?
Season five of Supernatural and season one of The Vampire Diaries aired on the same night.
My guess as to why they aren't pairing them anymore is that (I think) both shows have strong followings (not huge but loyal) and they want to use them to create audiences for other shows.
