And the thing is, I like my evil like I like my men: evil. You know, straight up, black hat, tied to the train tracks, soon my electro-ray will destroy metropolis BAD.

Season five of Supernatural and season one of The Vampire Diaries aired on the same night.

My guess as to why they aren't pairing them anymore is that (I think) both shows have strong followings (not huge but loyal) and they want to use them to create audiences for other shows.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've already said twice that Vampire Diaries aired before Supernatural. That's why I wasn't sure who you were talking to.

And I was asking about after that, anyway, since that was before Smallville.

ita - that's a confusing question. In season 1, SPN aired with Gilmore Girls on Tuesdays and then was moved to Thursdays and paired with Smallville until TVD premiered when they moved Smallville to Friday and paired SPN with TVD. So, SPN was paired with Smallville before and after TVD.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

That schedule makes a little more sense of why so many fangirls used to be up in arms about an actor besides J-Pad playing a character named Dean.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It was Smallville before TVD, too. Like, three years of Smallville->SPN on Thursdays, then Smallville moved to Fridays and TVD came in before SPN, then SPN followed Smallville to Friday, and then Nikita.

By "a little more sense" you surely aren't implying that it's a measurable or reasonable amount of sense. I mean, assuming those fangirls understand this is all make believe...

Oh, hey--anyone want to bet a kitten?

I'm going to wager one furless cutie that we're done with Daphne for the season, and she's just off somewhere being confused and scared as all fuck, and missing her husband.

The alternative I like the best is that crazy pacifist Cas went back to her and is trying to pretend to be Emmanuel, and she's still confused and scared as all fuck.

This is, of course, the scenario in which he has not run off with Meg to watch porn while the world burns.
