Anya: We should drop a piano on her. It always works for that creepy cartoon rabbit when he's running from that nice man with the speech impediment. Giles: Yes, or perhaps we could paint a convincing fake tunnel on the side of a mountain.

Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I looked through the ratings while looking up episode order, and guess what the most-watched episode ever was?

The racist truck episode.

Ratings quickly dropped off by a couple million viewers after that, which surprises me not at all.

Because books.

if I'd seen the pilot first and stuck around for "Phantom Traveler" and "Skin" after the two duds I'd likely have been a fan from the start.

I didn't think they were duds at all. Wendigo had the "saving people, hunting things" line, and Dead in the Water had Dean saving a drowning kid (plus lots of vulnerable!Dean talking to the kid, and Amy Acker).

I just remember watching the pilot and loving the way the two of them bickered and snarked, and a total OMGWTF "I can't believe they really did that" moment when they killed Sam's girlfriend.

I love S2 just a bit more than S1, but I think that's usual -- a show generally needs some time to find it's rhythm. I didn't hate S3, although it was uneven and a shame that they had to fast-forward through the arc due to the strike. Still a lot of good stuff in there, for me.

Who am I kidding, I love it all. I'll even watch Bugs for the brotherly stuff, and Sam working out his daddy issues with the spider-loving kid, and I can't give up Route 666 because you get Sam boggling at Dean's love life *and* Dean's muscular naked back during sex.

Kneel before Glod. ~Stephen Colbert

Maybe not everyone has my buttons.

Maybe not all of your buttons, but a hell of a lot of them.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Apparently some of the Netflix streaming eps don't have the right music? Like one (but just one) is missing Carry On Wayward Son...

Cafe de labeill is being cute in a way I can survive, even giving the premise-- fem!Cas gives birth to a daughter for Dean that he names Zeppelin. Something about that level of absurdity leavens the sugar for me. Also, Sam has a bitchface.

Make sure you click on each one so you can see the proper level of detail.

Because books.

Just saw an ad for the movie of Sam Winchester's life on The Chiller Channel -- Clawed: The Legend of Sasquatch.

I just read the most overwrought piece of not actually porn, which I think might have been an exercise, because there are no penises in it. Well, to be strictly honest, twice the word "it" is used to refer to the male member, but that's all. No synonyms, no direct uses of the term. Also, no referral to orgasm or semen. Lots and lots of different ways to say love and kissing and arousal, but although there does appear to be a handjob. Or maybe frottage. I'm not sure what precisely they do with their its before they release.

Something that I'd probably warn against--don't drop lamb imagery in the middle of sex talk, no matter how roundabout the sex talk. It is really distracting.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I just read a horrific fic where the characters in no way shape or form resemble Show characters. I skimmed to the end, and the tragic lovers are united in death.

Suicide IS the answer! Apparently. Oh sweet, sweet, romantic suicide.
