Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Be happy for me, Dean! And Dean's wearing a boutonnière in the next shot...

How come Mary or John didn't send a message to Dean? WHERE ARE THEY????

Because books.

Send a message to Dean when?

Are you drinking at work again?

Ellen sent a message to Dean, dummy. Why didn't one of his parents do that instead?

Because books.

Oh! Right.

I *have* been drinking, so be patient with me.

That's a good question, actually.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Why am I not drinking? That is another good question, even if I already know the answer.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I would be game to get in on a/the Buffista GISHWHES team

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Ellen sent a message to Dean, dummy. Why didn't one of his parents do that instead?

I'd wondered that as well. It's bothersome that she, and not they, would be the one to contact Dean--unless there's still something that's going to be done with the fact that Ash couldn't track them down in Heaven.

Also, from a narrative perspective, If the psychic gave Dean a message from John or Mary, I think Dean might well end up shoving him against a wall and demanding that the psychic get back in touch with them right now.
