Well, other bands know more than three chords. Your professional bands can play up to six, sometimes seven, completely different chords.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Bobby does it and maybe their Grandpa did it. I don't remember. John did it. Those would all be expected to do it though.

My son's roommate is named Sam and I would be so uncomfortable calling him Sammy after only knowing him for a year.

I want to call him Sammy and rename my own son Dean so that I know Sammy and Dean are living in Lawrence, but luckily my son is legal age and can escape my fan craxiness.

When I am wrapping Sam (the character, not the unsuspecting college kid who doesn't know what a psycho I am) in a blanket, I'm totally going to call him Sammy.

Because books.

I only call Sam "Sammy" when it's when of those "OH SAMMY" moments on the show. Dean gets to use Sammy with impunity, though.

Just anecdata: On I Love Lucy, Lucy and Ethel were always calling Ricky and Fred "the boys". I don't think it's that uncommon. There's "a night out with the boys" (and "a night out with the girls," for that matter).

That said, I can't see anyone calling Bobby and Rufus the boys unless it was their moms, or their spouses.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

That's a good point Amy. I wouldn't blink an eye at anyone in the rural community calling Bobby and Rufus the boys, as in the boys are coming over. My dad refers to my mom going out with her friends as the girls. It must be a common country thing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I will always blink an eye at someone calling a black adult male boy, if they're not black themselves, and even then.

Speaking of boys and Sammy, Colin has a new movie coming out at Christmas. [link]

It looks like it could be Christmas Cottage cheese but...I'll watch it and pretend Sammy got a Zebra while he ran away that time.

I hate that he's growing up. Dammit, Sammy.

Guh. And I have new desktop wallpaper.

Amy, ita - I absolutely hate it when you have link wars. Never, ever do that again. Ever.

Guh.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

There was comment along with BTS photos and commentary that the crew refers to J&J as the boys, so a guest on set could easily pick that up, I'd think. I'll bet their crew gets to call them anything they'd like. They like their crew.

Somehow I doubt you really mean this. I wonder why?
