Friday! I'm going to go see the matinee of Moneyball so I can be home in the evening. Woot!

Fic: the recent Indiana Jones fic was adorable and actiony. Also, janie tangerine continues to astound me with really decent AU's. Not awesome, not I-want-to-live-in-this-'verse, but, pretty damned good.

Jolly Snidge seems to be regressing, even though I still admire the ability to have so many fics going on at once and keep throwing left turns, all with different tones. Janie Tangerine just doesn't read like English. I have no idea how you beta her, because the emotion is clearly there--she's sweet with her shippiness, and emotive, but oh so awkward.

I finally broke down and started reading The Resident, and it doesn't do it for me, but neither is it as repelling as I'd thought it would be. And, AMEN to wanting the janitor AU to be finished. We went through all of that underaged hotness to then be foisted with the insult of incest, now we have to deal with not only Therapy, but a Dying Dad that We Hate? F*** this reality. Her priest AU is also killing me (and has been from the beginning. Like, I'm sorry, but the f***ing catalyst should have been Dean having a kid. That went too far for me to leave him in the likeable zone of cheating). And no mention at all of Cas leaving his position as an option. She did this better before (obstinatrix did it better with Voice of the Turtle Dove).

I actually like the priest one a fair amount for a cheating story. I like how angry and fucked up they are. I didn't like her previous priest one, the one that she made into a novel, that sort of crept me out.
