Don't belong. Dangerous, like you. Can't be controlled. Can't be trusted. Everyone could just go on without me and not have to worry. People could be what they wanted to be. Could be with the people they wanted. Live simple. No secrets.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have been spending way too much time reading it on my phone. I'm entranced.

Okay, this story had just taken the second mindfuck left turn. I should not be reading it at work.

I have air conditioning and scaramouche. It is a good Friday. It took me almost an hour to drive a thirty minute commute because I kept pulling over to read.

^ God, I'm a sad person ^

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Hmmm. I'm coming to the conclusion that scaramouche's gift for relationship scenes does not translate into good casefic/action adventure.

I'm not done yet, but I'm liking it. I had no idea it was going where it has gotten to.

I think my only complaint so far was the implicit understanding that Cas was a virgin. I like the way the "John is a bastard" angle is handled. I like the fresh way that Mary is included in the story. I like. Not in love. But, after so many dissatisfying fics of nebulous quality and length and originality, I am quite content.

Because books.

Some of us may want to read it later, though! Spoiler details if you can, please?

meep!

Sorry, Amy!

But I promise that those were only incidental details to the fic.

Why do you have a complaint about Cas' virgin status?
