Cordelia: I get it now. You're all spies. Probably all Russian. And you've brainwashed me, and want me to believe we're friends so I'll spill the beans about some nano-technology thingy that you want. Gunn: So I look Russian to you? Cordelia: Black Russian. Angel: That's a drink.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I think my only complaint so far was the implicit understanding that Cas was a virgin. I like the way the "John is a bastard" angle is handled. I like the fresh way that Mary is included in the story. I like. Not in love. But, after so many dissatisfying fics of nebulous quality and length and originality, I am quite content.

Because books.

Some of us may want to read it later, though! Spoiler details if you can, please?

meep!

Sorry, Amy!

But I promise that those were only incidental details to the fic.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Why do you have a complaint about Cas' virgin status?

Not about the status of it, just that it was suddenly a known quantity within the fic, taken for granted that of course he is. No "so have you ever?" "No." "okay". Not a huge deal, but it felt like an oversight of givens.

I kinda think that as an amnesiac, you get a reset button. It's like the tree falling in the forest with no one there to hear.

Okay, I get that --but did Dean, at that point, know that Cas was an amnesiac?

I don't think he did. And I don't think the reader did either.

Huh. I thought we did.

Adorable painting of the Js. Though I prefer to think of it as Sam and Dean, because I'd love to see Sam with that smile on his face.

Hey, I was reading on my blackberry at traffic lights, something may have been missed. There was no way in heck I was deliberately skimming this time!

Okay, I'm a sap. I liked it, and I'm glad it ended the way I thought it was, even though the name change was jarring. I'm really really glad it ended with a world where they were hunters, because it was just awkward wrong otherwise, even if they preferred it so.
