Because books.

I don't know if they're signed beyond this season, but Jared said in that interview that he would do the show as long as fans and the CW wanted it.

I'm not sure Sera had more than a one-season plan, either, although I assume she knows where the coming season will go now.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Really I would not not mind a next season where the Castiel thing is resolved quickly and then it is all MOTW.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think they need to battle their inner demons. Because we've never seen that.

So I just finished up reading a D/C where they're pop singing proteges in love. I used to think J2 was where all the crack lived, but, seriously, this one author will write any AU ever.

And? I liked it. I am that much of a sucker for my ship.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'd like to see them interacting more/more profoundly with non-hunters on their various cases, and actually managing to save people in addition to destroying monsters as the cherry on top of a pile of victims' corpses. Also, recurring allies, friends, or whatever besides Bobby that don't immediately get killed for shock value. And if one of those friends/allies could be Cas, swell.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

jollysnidge is taking a vacation for a week! I'm sad. I need fix

Maybe we'll get some new Rebel Rebel ::crosses fingers:: I need to find me a ghostwriter, because I'll never finish this ranching AU I started (and I suck at writing to begin with, but I have a plot).

And what the hell happened with architeuthis' big bang? Did it die? Is he waiting for the new DCBB?

S7

IDEK

Sam's reintegrated "personalities" could still be an issue. Shit Sam's done in the past, now that he remembers it, could be an issue. And Sam's search for atonement for all that he's done. They're on the run, hiding from Cas as Dean searches for a way to defuse him.

I remember Kripke's reasoning to burning down the roadhouse and I find it stupid. It was logical, that there would be hunter-friendly places across the country. Having other hunters out there that the boys could bump into, trade stories with, join on hunts, get in fights with. Recurring characters that could be foes as well as allies. Their world has gotten too insular. I'd like to see that open up again.

I was also disappointed with the "finding out about the origin of monsters", because I took that to mean "looking into the mythos and evolution of each supernatural being" and not just "EVE". Which was as lame as the whole bringing in the Campbell's thing "killing vamps on the Mayflower!", where the interviews for the upcoming season ended up being just as informative as the actual episodes. Nothing further explored. Mary had family that survived? Not explored.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Does anyone here ship Sam/Gabriel? Is there a manifesto for the ship? I don't think there's anything popular that I so completely fail to get.

Because books.

There is no explanation for it, unless fans like the way Jared and Speight goof around at conferences. And they think the height difference in cute, maybe? The characters? No way.

ION, the foreign rights chick at my agent's office just tweeted that Sam is "terrible and whiny and too tall" and now I want to beat her up.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The characters? No way.

It's in the category of ships like Dean/Mary or John/Sam and the like where I think there's something completely separate from Show that drives creation and consumption of it. Because I don't see where the text even begins to lead there, unlike Sam/Dean or Dean/John.

"terrible and whiny and too tall"

Give me her address. I'll totally smack her down. First off, too tall? She totally can't be reasoned with.

And, seriously, I don't get the whiny thing. Or the people that bitch that Dean cries too much. Did you miss the borderline abusive childhood and the ongoing trauma? Their lives suck! It's why we tune in! Surely they can react a little!

Amy - Jun 24, 2011 12:37:09 pm PDT #20431 of 30002
Because books.

I can't be mean to her until she helps straighten out some foreign rights stuff for me, but AFTER, she's all yours. Just let me watch. And maybe kick her once or twice.

There is no TOO TALL unless you're some nine-foot giant from a distant land, in which case I would be eye-level with your crotch or something. Come ON.

I don't get the whiny thing, either. Although I don't think she's up to the current seasons yet.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Just discovered Misha has a YT account (OMG West is adorable) which then led me to this cracky vid which is fantastically edited: [link] "We Like Fly Paper" by ILoveThesePeople.

Gen, Angels, strong on gag reel footage.
