And she's working so very, very hard to twist the text to fit her belief system, and seeing as how she hasn't even SEEN the season I just was staring at the screen in amazement. (One of my favorites came from the preview clip where Dean said he hadn't read Lovecraft because he'd been out having sex with women. This person says the writers had them emphasize the "with women" part of the sentence - because normal people wouldn't talk like that, they'd just say they were out having sex. They wouldn't have to indicate the gender of their partner, you see.)
And then people were making comments as though she were a reasonable human being.
Ignoring the crazy people.
Watching vids and stumbled across this one by xTernallyDazzled: [link]
from late 2010. Music "Teardrops" by Massive Attack. Great gen Sam and Dean.
Ignoring the crazy people.
I've seen posts of people that are flouncing off of season Seven. They aren't even going to see how things turn out? Boggle. And they aren't just "oh well, things didn't go the way I wanted so I'm really not interested anymore." They are "I am seething with rage and this is the only thing I can threaten at the moment that won't get me thrown in jail." It's scary.

To be fair, he did say the "With women." as a second sentence after a pause. But my take was it was brotherly needling in the manner of "unlike you, who never knew the touch of one in school, Sasquatch!"
I've always taken that "with women" addition not to exclude sex with men (which it does, but that's not the point) but to exclude sex with oneself.

Yeah, that's how I read it, too. Because that's what it was, crazy people!
Oh man, I mustered my courage to dive into post-finale fic tonight and ran across one that had an effect reminiscent of what Pamela Barnes went through in 4.01. I'm going to have to restrict myself to reading only trusted favorite authors until the new season starts in the fall, aren't I?
I think you need to get an alpha reader, Matt.
