Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
I love cowboy boots on other people, but they don't really work for me. I always go for the square-toed motorcycle boot style now.
Jensen's are #
5
.
I think Jared is #
1
, but I'm not sure. Now that I look again, though, I think Jim is
the last photo
.
For some reason I think those are Misha's pants you have attributed to Jim. But I'm fuzzy on that.
Biker boots are my second favourite boots. Granny boots are my third. I
love
boots.
I had an awesome real pair of cowboy boots from Wyoming, when we lived there, and I did wear them for years. But I don't love the pointy toe on me, and I usually want the shaft to be a little taller.
Crap, I forgot about Misha. Oh wait, you may be right! I think Jim usually wears
sneakers
.
I have no idea if anyone else is playing, but I love the quick edit spoiler thingie.
WTF is
Misha
doing to his shoes (mink oil!) and what are those pants he's wearing? I think he hemmed them himself. If not outright sewn them.
I feel dehydrated looking at those boots. Maybe it's my dad wearing cowboy boots and watching him polish them for Sunday service, or being in the military, but, damn, I take care of my leather shoes at least twice a year.
The fast paced rate of girls fashion makes the wear and tear not noticeable. But, dudes,
mink oil.
Which is totally in character.
Hey, Julie, cloudyjenn's writing again! Do you read her stuff? Nothing dirty, but really cute. Her and janie tangerine really peg my schmoop metre, but it's AU, so I roll with it.
Right? I was thinking that just after I typed it.
I'm getting excited now when I see cloudyjenn. She's got the feelgood and the now she's got the f-bomb and I don't start playing solitaire when the NC-17 scene comes around. Because she's gone there all of once (and it was good!). Just finished Much Ado, and it was angsty and cute and managed to fall into and right out of trope traps, which was nice.
The HS AU's are starting to bug, because they're starting to feel too much like "high thar! Ahm in haghschool [/college] and I want 2 right wot I no"
/iz mean
There does seem to be a horrible onslaught of too much HS. And you know what? Enough with the Sam/Gabriel where Sam is under sixteen and Gabriel is older than Castiel. Turns out, I can't handle underage Sam, even in AU.
Especially
in AU. AU is the only way I can handle S/G, and for god's sake, make it legal.
College AU I don't mind so much--I'm a bit entranced by swing-set's one with the wish. Somehow I missed the posting of the first part of that. I don't feel like there are as many, or they are as juvenile.
Still, people, mix it up more! I want to see popular Cas! I want Cas not actually related to seven million angel-named siblings and a random Anna. Something.
My big problem with HS AU is that it generally means BAMF Cas is right off the table. Why?
There's a weird HS AU right now that looks like it's doing
something
with angelic lore, so Cas might be BAMFy (and the S/G looks platonic, thankful--but I resemble the implication Sam needs more brothering than Dean). But I can only think of one recently where Cas was actually cool (within the HS cool--scaramouche's Cas was cool too, and could land a punch, but still outcast) and Dean was not popular.
500 Miles came on on my drive home tonight, and the vid has made it such a SamandDean song for me. I couldn't possibly platonically ship this two harder. I'm so glad they're back on the same page now. I mean, Sam has his soul back. Dean's lie was exposed. Dean's begrudgingly admitted that Sam's choice of making amends is something he'd do, and judging from the trailer, whatever cracks we saw at the end of the last episode, Sam is walking around this week. So it seems to be a gradual issue with the wall, not an all or nothing.
