Oh I have no illusions that my particuar perception of Winchesters child and man is at odds with almost all of fandom. It's just--I look at something other people see as sexual and I don't see that. Willful ignorance, in the sense of *ignoring* rather than being ignorant of canon? Almost certainly. But it's no more off the range than the tin hat people. And I like the notion of cuddling for comfort and the reassurance of touch.
I don't expect other people to accept my opinions, or to see what I see. It's just another viewpoint.
Danneel does tend to maintain her cheerful, upbeat public persona, in the face of *years* of being disliked and outright hated in some quarters, and I give her all credit for that. I haven't seen much of her work, but what I have seen, I think she's capable of better, and it would be very nice if she got the opportunity to prove that.
She's the best part of the second Harold and Kumar movie. And it had John Cho in goth makeup and NPH on a unicorn.

I think it's when people
do
have those expectations that we get ship wars. Or, when people take it as a personal insult when you don't like something they do.
I find that I'll interpret fanworks according to my own headcanon quite frequently, especially if I've got slashgoggles or gengoggles pre-installed. With some pairings, unless there is actual kissing or sex going on, I'll read emotional intimacy before I'll think physical intimacy. With others, a single glance will get me going "KISS ALREADY!!!1!" How the artist has labeled the work has little to do with this.

It's not actually a good movie. It just had some high points.
Exciting, but not enough to post it twice.

They're so far off the range, I don't know if I'd associate myself with them.
Where the hell are they staying?!? That doesn't look fit for human habitation.
